South Mission

Ok now guys we visited Mission Beach in 2015 and loved this place, quiet, small and friendly are just a few throw down worlds that come to mind, to be honest we never would have found this place if a friend wasn't getting married there but we are so glad they chose mission beach for the wedding.

We stayed at the Taihoa apartments in south Mission, yes that's right it is divided into two separate areas and believe me they couldn't be more different.

 

If you're looking for super quiet, self contained, costal living the Taohoa apartments are for you and south Mission beach is what you are looking for, if you are chasing a place within walking distance to a pub / great night out then not so much.

Northern mission has some great eating and drinking spots and is only a short drive away, however apart from a great local takeaway their is only one option in South Mission for a night out, Millers beach Bar and Grill which is top notch in my book. ( see review in Food Home and Away).

Mission beach is a sleepy place but spot on for those who wish to escape the greater world and I cannot recommend it more to those  who wish to do this, however if you want some excitement perhaps staying here longer than a few days is too long and only a couple of hours drive North is a  typical Queensland paradise in Port Douglas.

Mission beach is very modestly priced.
