Vino & all things Grape

So this is by far my favorite page, yes believe it or not I adore all things wine, I do not however profess to be any type of expert on the subject however I do enjoy trying new wines in different locations but more importantly I enjoy the sharing of experiences with others who love the grape.  My love affair with wine is only around 5 - 6 years old prior to this I was always a lover of all things beer, it's hard to say when this really changed or why but it definitely gained momentum when I was working on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand probably after completing my first wine tour of the central Otago region and falling head over heels for all things Pinot Noir, this style of wine to this day is my hands down favorite and to be honest i am yet to have experienced a bottle for which I do not find ridiculously quaffable.

However apart from my inner circle I would never have considered sharing my thoughts about all things wine, until recently I was lucky enough to attend a small round table discussion with Vinomofo co-founder Andre Eikmeier, this experience was truly profound to me as although I had purchased wine from the Vinomofo website (for which I recommended to all) I hadn't paid all that much attention to the other material available there these guys have really stayed true to their passion and have achieved great things but to me the most important factor is they have given wine a human face, I'm certain I am not alone when I cast my mind back to being a kid at the local bottle shop and asking my old man what wine was and wondering why there was so much of it around but Dad would always drop a line as too it being rubbish or for a select group of people only but I could never really figure out who that group was and then of curse the inevitable time in a teenagers life when they experience cask wine for the first time, generally in bulk and nearly always with the same messy results.

Below I have posted a number of reviews from wine for which i have tried and enjoyed thoroughly, I will post a new wine review every month and also encourage you all to if not send a review a comment or make mention of wines for which you believe others may enjoy or even if you wish to plug a new product knowledge is power and to quote Homer " first you get the sugar then you get the power, then you get the women   LOL anyway guys enjoy and I look forward to hearing from you all.
